π± Children’s coaching & parent consultations Amsterdam
What a child learns about their feelings now, they carry with them for a lifetime.
Studio Sprout supports children, parents, and schools with questions around development, behaviour, self-confidence, and wellbeing.
We help children learn to understand their emotions, so they can make their own choices from a place of self-knowledge. Not quick fixes, but a solid foundation for life.
Does this sound familiar?

Your child has intense tantrums, crying spells, or shows the opposite: withdrawing, talking less, or shutting themselves in their room without saying what’s going on. You sense something’s wrong, but can’t quite get a clear picture. We help your child find their own voice and feelings again, and learn to express themselves.
What parents and children say
★★★★★
“Renée and Davita come to school weekly to work with children. The children receive individual coaching with space to talk about what’s on their minds and to reflect on their feelings and emotions. We can see this is visibly good for them; they feel heard and gain tools to better manage their emotions. Parents and teachers are actively involved in the process too. Contact with Studio Sprout is pleasant, with short lines and good alignment.”
Heleen, special educational needs coordinator at a primary school in Amsterdam-West
“With you I can really be myself.”
Ali, age 7
“At Studio Sprout I learned how to deal with arguments.”
Olivia, age 8
“It helped me to write a letter to someone I was angry with. Now I’ve said what I feel.”
Emily, age 10
“When I talk with you, I feel safe. And I like that. Together we practised what I can say when I’m being bullied.”

Why now
The need for support is greater than ever
Many parents sense that something is going on with their child, but don’t know where to turn. There is a large group of children for whom specialist care is too heavy, yet whose situation is too significant to leave unaddressed. Studio Sprout fills precisely that space.

young people now receive youth care. In 2015 this was still 1 in 12. The demand for care among children is rising structurally, while prevention remains limited.
CBS, Youth Monitor 2025
23,600
children under 18 are involved in a parental separation each year. That is 35 to 40 children every single day. A separation is almost always a significant emotional transition for a child.

+25%
more waiting places in mental health care in recent years, while demand continues to grow. For many families, preventive coaching is the only accessible route forward.
RIVM & Trimbos Institute
Research shows
Children who learn early to understand their emotions have measurably fewer mental health problems as adults, and go on to build better relationships, maintain better health, and have greater career prospects. Early support is not a luxury, but a considered investment in the life that is still to come.

How it works
What a trajectory looks like
You don’t need to be certain your child needs coaching before reaching out. We think along with you from the very first step.
Step 1
Free introductory call
We schedule a short call of 20 to 30 minutes. You share what’s going on, we explain how we can help. No obligations, no costs.
Step 2
Intake with parents
An in-depth conversation of about an hour. We map out the question and align on what your child needs. You know your child best and that knowledge shapes the whole trajectory.
Step 3
Sessions with your child
We work through play, conversation, drawing, or movement, whatever suits your child. Every session connects to their world. At school, at home, or in our practice space in Amsterdam-West.
Step 4
Tools for home
After each session, you receive concrete exercises and insights to use at home. That way, home and the sessions reinforce each other and you see change beyond the coaching room.

Why Studio Sprout
Not every children’s coach works this way
Most children’s coaches work from a single discipline. Davita and Renée bring a combination you rarely find in one place.
π
Scientific foundation
Backgrounds in orthopedagogy, psychology, and social work. We work methodically drawing on the GROW model, Korczak, and trauma-sensitive practice, and not just on intuition.
π€Έ
Body and movement
Davita works with children’s yoga and Balans & Bewegen. Children don’t only process emotions through words, sometimes through movement, drawing, or play. We take that seriously.
π«
Roots in primary education
Both founders worked for years in Amsterdam primary schools. We know classroom reality from the inside: what teachers see, what goes on beneath the surface, and how school and home influence each other.
π¨βπ©βπ§
Child, parent and school together
A child doesn’t grow in isolation. Parents receive concrete tools after every session. Schools are involved where helpful. We support the child in their full context.
