The people behind Studio Sprout

Two founders with a shared belief: that what a child learns about themselves now, they carry with them for a lifetime.

Renée van Hagen

Visual Artist (KABK) · Psychologist in training (Open University) · Children’s Coach (NAP) · Trauma-Sensitive Care (RINO)

I’m Renée van Hagen, a graduate visual artist (Royal Academy of Art, The Hague), psychologist in training (Open University), children’s coach (Dutch Academy for Psychotherapy), and co-founder of Studio Sprout. My interest lies in how children develop emotionally and socially, and what they need in order to move freely within that development.

In recent years I worked intensively within Amsterdam primary education as a project coordinator and educational consultant. In that environment, I saw time and again how important it is to look at what lies beneath children’s behaviour.

Within Studio Sprout I support children, parents and caregivers in an open, compassionate and methodical way, with attention to emotions, resilience and relationships. My approach is clear and engaged, with room for creativity and reflection. 🌱

Davita Wopereis

Social Work (HvA) · Orthopedagogist in training (VU) · Children’s Yoga Coach (Kinderyoga Academie) · Trauma-Sensitive Care (RINO)

I’m Davita Wopereis, a graduate in Social Work (Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences), orthopedagogist in training (Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam), Children’s Yoga Coach (Kinderyoga Academie), and co-founder of Studio Sprout. My interest lies in the social-emotional development, creativity and wellbeing of children, with a culturally sensitive perspective on the child’s world.

In recent years I worked as a project coordinator and teacher in Amsterdam primary education, supporting children with a wide range of needs. In that environment, I saw time and again how important it is to look beyond behaviour, to what lies beneath the surface.

Within Studio Sprout I support children in a warm and purposeful way, with room for play and movement. In my Balance & Movement sessions I invite children to move, relax and be themselves in a safe environment: the foundation for growth and resilience. 🌱
